Cary and Chapel Hill both made Time MONEY’s list of the to 50 Best Places to live, chosen out of the nation’s top small cities with populations between 50,000 and 300,000. MONEY started with a pool of 781 cities and looked at more than 50 factors to determine the top 50! Cary was ranked #19 and Chapel Hill #36. Cary got kudos for it’s central location in the Triangle and easy access to great dining and entertainment; the tree lined streets and excellent schools were other positives. Chapel Hill’s college town charm helped it claim its spot on the list. It’s highly-educated, diverse population is another draw, as is its prime location and access to jobs in the Triangle.
